At CareGap MedFast Clinic, our goal is to offer a simple and effective prescription refill procedure. Please study the following details to make sure you know when an appointment is necessary and how to handle your refills.
You must make an appointment with us if you haven’t been seen in the last three months or if you need a refill for a medicine that was given by a different clinic or specialist.
Certain drugs need prior authorization, which might take many days and entail multiple steps. Although your insurance company’s acceptance cannot be guaranteed, we will handle the request as fast as we can. For changes, check with your pharmacy.
A refill will necessitate an appointment with us if your medicine was given by a specialist, particularly if primary care does not regularly manage the medication or dosage.
If you have been seen within the last three months and require a refill for a maintenance medicine (a medication taken daily for a chronic condition without modifications), you can do so over the phone or through our patient portal. Make sure you ask for refills at least seven working days prior to the expiration of your prescription.
A follow-up appointment is required for refills of controlled substances prescribed by an AllCare Physician due to the significant risk of abuse and dependence. Therefore, a recent office visit within the last three months is required before refills can be granted.
Any new medication or antibiotic refill requires a visit. This guarantees that your disease and drugs are managed appropriately.
Advance Notice: Request refills at least 7 business days before running out of medication. This allows time for processing and scheduling any necessary appointments.
Effect on Refills: Regular cancellations or no-shows may cause refills to be delayed. Keeping your appointments is essential to managing your medications on time.
Eligibility: If you have had regular checkups and the required tests, you may be eligible for bridge prescriptions for specific medications.
Chronic diseases: Regular follow-up sessions, usually every three to six months, are recommended for patients with chronic diseases. Before getting refills, you will require a follow-up visit if you haven’t been seen in the previous six months.
Whether it’s today or next week, our team is ready to care for you—on your schedule, your terms.
